Carolyn Bourdeaux is director of the Center for State and Local Finance and an associate professor of public management and policy at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. From 2007-2010, she was on leave from the university to serve as director of Georgia’s Senate Budget and Evaluation Office. Her recent research has focused on cutback budgeting, tax reform and intergovernmental fiscal relations.
Bourdeaux received her bachelor’s degree in history and economics from Yale University, her master's degree in public administration from the University of Southern California and her Ph.D. in public administration from Syracuse University.
