Michael Cooper is president of the Association of Defense Communities and chairman of the Oklahoma Strategic Military Planning Commission, a position he has held since 2003. From 1995 to 1999, he was mayor of Enid, Okla., home of Vance Air Force Base, and has also served as chairman of the Vance Development Authority and military liaison for the city of Enid.
Cooper is principal owner of Cooper Public Strategies, which he founded in Broken Arrow, Okla., in 2006. He worked at AT&T for more than 40 years in a wide range of capacities, including government relations, external affairs and network operations.
