Patrick S. Malone is executive-in-residence in the Department of Public Administration and Policy at American University, where he teaches courses in public-sector leadership, action learning and organizational analysis. He also serves as a senior advisor and faculty member in American University’s Key Executive Leadership program.
He is a frequent guest lecturer on leadership and organizational dynamics for state and federal agencies, professional associations and universities, has extensive experience working with leaders of major federal agencies, and has presented in international forums to government leaders from countries including Belgium, Mauritius, Panama, Poland and Vietnam.
Malone spent 22 years at the Department of Defense, where he served in a number of senior leadership and policy roles. He holds a Ph.D. from American University.
