Paul Krekorian, a member of the Los Angeles City Council since 2010, is chairman of the council's Budget and Finance Committee. He also serves on the boards of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Metrolink and the San Fernando Valley Council of Governments. In 2006, after three years on the Burbank Board of Education, Krekorian was elected on to the California State Assembly.
Krekorian earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California and his law degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He spent two decades practicing business, entertainment and property law.
