Richard May is the chairman and CEO of Innovation Village Districts, headquartered in West Baltimore, which works to build inclusive entrepreneurial communities across the Mid-Atlantic region and has an affiliate in Kampala, Uganda. The organization was recently recognized by the United Nations for its Smart Village/Smart City model in Seat Pleasant, Md.
Before his involvement with Innovation Village Districts, May was a senior leader with the Deloitte consulting firm, providing business and IT advisory expertise to Fortune 500 companies, governments and industries related to the national security sector, and has had a career in private equity supporting technology enterprises. He also has been an executive producer for Hollywood films and a TV series pilot on social entrepreneurship.
