Akash Chougule is the national director of policy for Americans for Prosperity, the nation's largest grassroots free-market advocacy organization. He oversees all of AFP’s state policy advocacy efforts across the organization’s 35 state chapters, with a focus on labor, healthcare, education and tax policy. He has helped lead AFP’s state policy efforts on issues such as right-to-work, school choice and Medicaid expansion.
Chougule's writing has been featured in publications including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, National Review and The Hill. He received his bachelor's degree in political science from Boston College in 2012 and his master's degree from George Washington University in 2015.
