Betsy Hodges is a former mayor of Minneapolis. She currently is a consultant to organizations working with cities to improve equitable outcomes for people of color, and she recently served as a Residential Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics.
Before taking office as mayor in 2014, Hodges was a member of the Minneapolis city council for eight years, serving as chair of the Ways and Means/Budget Committee and the Intergovernmental Relations Committee. She received her master's degree in sociology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
