Joel Griffith is the director of the American Legislative Exchange Council's Center for State and Local Fiscal Reform. Most recently, he was deputy research director at the National Association of Counties. Previously, he was a research associate for the Institute for Economic Freedom and Opportunity at the Heritage Foundation and a research assistant for a former member of the Wall Street Journal editorial board.
Griffith earned his law degree from Chapman University. Following law school, he managed an equities trading account. As an attorney, he worked with a Washington, D.C., law firm in international litigation and corporate development.
