Lisa Morrison Butler has served since July 2015 as commissioner of the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services. Previously, she served for more than a decade as executive director of City Year Chicago, which partners with at-risk schools to help students reach their full potential and graduate from high school. She also held senior positions in the telecommunications industry and established a private strategic communications practice.
Morrison Butler holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and pursued post-graduate studies at Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and the University of Chicago.
