Paul S. DeGregorio, a former chairman of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission who was appointed to the commission in 2003 by President George W. Bush, is a senior fellow at the Democracy Fund, where he advances the work of its Elections Program by advising staff on effective strategies and represents the organization at key events to strengthen the administration of U.S. elections. From 1985 to 1993, he was director of elections for St. Louis County, Mo.
DeGregorio also has served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the International Foundation for Election Systems and as chief of elections for the voting technology company Everyone Counts Inc. He is a senior adviser to the Association of World Election Bodies, a global organization devoted to the promotion of the professional administration of elections.
