What is Newark proposing?

The city of Newark proposes to strengthen partnerships with community lenders, technical assistance providers, local colleges and universities, community-based nonprofits and startup incubators—both to connect businesses with existing supports, and to design new ones through their Newark Business Service Providers program. Additionally, Newark aims to engage in education and capacity-building programming to strengthen the likelihood for scalable and sustainable small business growth through the city’s Contractors Development Initiative.
