The number of baby boxes that are scattered across the nation in fire stations and hospitals. A newborn was recently surrendered to Florida’s only baby box, the first time anyone’s used the Safe Haven Baby Box since it was installed in the Ocala fire station over two years ago. The baby was surrendered within the last 10 days.
