The budget shortfall that West Virginia University is facing as faculty expressed no confidence in President E. Gordon Gee in a vote this past Wednesday. The budget shortfall is expected to grow to as much as $57 million in five years. The university is proposing cutting 32 programs, 9 percent of the majors offered on the Morgantown campus, but the faculty assembly also voted to freeze the academic program and faculty cuts.
