Former President Donald Trump, in a statement regarding his endorsement for the Missouri Senate race, a hotly contested race between two candidates named Eric: Eric Greitens, former state governor, and Eric Schmitt, the state attorney general. There is even a third, lesser-known candidate named Eric McElroy. When asked to clarify which Eric he was supporting, Trump said his statement “speaks for itself.” Both Greitens and Schmitt claimed Trump’s endorsement in Tweets that were sent just 11 minutes apart.
