The number of tons of flowers passing through Miami ahead of Valentine’s Day, with 90 percent of the roses and fresh cut flowers being sold for the holiday across the nation arriving via the city. This year, around 460 million flowers were imported from Ecuador and Colombia. In total, agriculture specialists had processed about 832 million stems of cut flowers as of Feb. 8.
