The estimated age of the moon. Scientists developed a theory about the age and formation of the moon based on samples brought back by astronaut Neil Armstrong in 1969. This week, Chinese astronauts brought back the first samples from the far side of the moon. Although geology may vary on the far side, scientists expect the age estimate to be confirmed based on the new evidence.
