The number of automobiles and heavy machinery units that Georgia’s Port of Brunswick rolled on and off ships in 2023, the port’s highest total ever and a 15 percent increase over 2022. The Georgia Ports Authority is investing $262 million in upgrades and expansions to make room for growth at the port, which is about 70 miles south of Savannah.
