She was referring to the departure, midterm, of Tracy Kelly Shriver, who had served as state's attorney since 2007, after having worked in the office for nearly a decade. Kelly Shriver sent a letter to Gov. Phil Scott, calling her work "the honor of my life" but informing him that she was stepping down as of this past Sunday. (VT Digger — July 29, 2024)
