By 2018, 80 percent of Michigan's technology infrastructure will be in the cloud, according to state CIO David Behen, who spoke with Government Technology at the 2015 Michigan Digital Government Summit in Lansing.

Behen also noted that although cloud technology isn't new anymore, he and his IT team must ensure people understand that the technology is secure, and the perception of the cloud is a bit of a challenge. Still, he said, the continued move in that direction is exciting.
